At the conference Chief Disruptor members, representatives from across the MOD, as well as leaders from across industry converged to discuss the evolving landscape of security and the strategies needed to navigate it effectively.

In today's digital age, where cyber threats loom large and security breaches are a constant concern, staying ahead of the curve is not just desirable, it is imperative. The conference kicked off with a clear vision set by the Army: to cultivate a robust organisational culture that prioritises security across all operational domains. The Army speakers emphasised the importance of integrating security into every facet of the Army’s operations to safeguard personnel, information, and assets in the face of sophisticated threats. Their remarks underscored the need for robust security measures across all operational domains, with an emphasis on proactive risk management and preparedness. Throughout the conference, participants engaged in discussions spanning a wide range of security topics, including personnel security, physical security, cyber-security, and resilience. Breakout sessions provided opportunities to delve deeper into specific issues and explore innovative approaches to addressing emerging threats.

A recurring theme throughout the conference was the importance of cultivating a security-centric culture within organisations. Participants stressed that security is not merely a function but a mindset that should permeate every aspect of organisational culture. Embracing secure-by-design principles and fostering a culture of vigilance and collaboration are essential for fortifying defences in an increasingly digital world.

Industry perspectives from organisations including conference partners Babcock, Global EMC, Varonis, Tanium, Capgemini, Cellebrite, Everfox, and BT offered valuable insights into emerging threats and innovative tools to combat them.
