Cyber Resilience 2025: Prepare, Defend, Respond

Friday 6 June 2025 │ 08:45-10:00 GMT │ Chief Disruptor Breakfast Club (Virtual)

The increasing frequency and sophistication of cyber attacks is raising the stakes for global leaders. Emerging technologies such as AI, IoT and Quantum Computing are being exploited by hackers and bad actors to exploit vulnerabilities. As a consequence, many leaders are struggling to grapple with the evolving nature and complexity of digital security.

Russian state-aligned groups, including cybercriminals and hacktivists, have significantly stepped up their attacks in the past year. In a speech to the NATO Cyber Defence Conference at Lancaster House in London on 25 November, Cabinet Office Minister Pat McFadden highlighted the threat that Russia could shut down power grids and "turn the lights off for millions of people", as well as its willingness to target British businesses "in pursuit of its malign goals". https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/chancellor-of-the-duchy-of-lancasters-speech-to-the-nato-cyber-defence-conference

As Quantum Computing rapidly becomes a reality, experts believe that this incredible leap in computing power also poses a significant cyber security challenge, enabling bad actors to crack complex encryption algorithms in minutes. And in an increasingly digitally connected global ecosystem, supply chains are also becoming increasingly vulnerable to attacks from cyber criminals, with more insecure suppliers in the chain being attacked in order to gain access to their larger partners.

But this surge of new technologies can also help strengthen resilience. Organisations are already deploying AI and ML tools to improve threat and anomaly intelligence and to automate response systems to bolster cyber defences. Gen AI in particular enables a shift from reactive to proactive cyber security, identifying patterns and predicting future events.

Constant innovation will be essential to build robust and evolving defence and response strategies. Join us at our online Chief Disruptor Breakfast Club discussion ‘Cyber Resilience 2025: Prepare, Defend, Respond’ to understand the latest threats and opportunities and to brainstorm how to prepare, defend and respond to the latest threats.

AGENDA

8:45 Welcome and introduction

8:50 Fireside chat

  • The latest developments in the geopolitical landscape and the impact on the threat landscape
  • The impact of emerging technologies such as AI, Quantum and IoT on defence and attack now and in the future
  • To what extent have emerging technologies heightened vulnerabilities in public and private entities, and in critical infrastructure and supply chains?
  • What are likely to be your greatest vulnerabilities?
  • Integrating your supply chain cyber risk initiatives with your wider risk strategy
  • Future gazing and preparing for what’s ahead: How do you embrace Quantum safe practices now?

09:05 Virtual roundtable discussion

  • Introductory brainstorm: what are the greatest threats to your organisation and to your supply chain?
  • How well positioned are you to adapt and respond to these new threats?
  • How should organisations mitigate these new and exiting threats?
  • How are you using emerging technologies to enable a more proactive approach to cyber security?
